Opportunity Radar

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Opportunity Radar collects, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective August 4, 2026

Scope

This policy applies to the Future State Careers Opportunity Radar website, public opportunity browsing and market intelligence, optional candidate accounts, saved or tracked opportunities, job alerts, and the optional FSC Job Market Brief. It does not govern an employer's website after you follow a link away from Opportunity Radar.

You can browse the public opportunity inventory without creating an account. An account is required only when you choose member features such as saving or tracking opportunities, creating alerts, or managing email preferences.

Information we collect

  • If you create an account: your first name, last name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in events.
  • Information you choose to provide when you contact FSC for candidate support.
  • Your saved opportunities, search-alert criteria, alert frequency, and email preferences.
  • Records of when you accept these terms or change newsletter and alert consent.
  • Basic technical and security information, such as IP address, browser or device details, page and referral activity, request timestamps, and abuse-detection events.
  • Email delivery events, including sent, delivered, bounced, complained, and suppressed status.

This beta does not collect, accept, parse, or store résumés. Please do not upload or send a résumé through Opportunity Radar. The beta is also not intended to store recruiter notes, FSC Command records, or private employer intelligence.

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • provide public opportunity browsing and candidate-safe market intelligence;
  • create and secure an account when you choose member features;
  • save, track, and organize opportunities according to your choices;
  • respond when you ask FSC for candidate or job-search support;
  • send alerts you request and the Job Market Brief when you separately opt in;
  • honor unsubscribes, suppress failed addresses, and maintain consent records;
  • prevent abuse, investigate security events, and improve service reliability; and
  • comply with law and protect the rights and safety of users, FSC, and others.

Creating an account does not by itself add you to the Job Market Brief. The newsletter choice requires separate, optional consent and can be changed later. Declining the newsletter does not limit public browsing or member features. Service messages, such as a secure sign-in link, may still be necessary to operate your account.

When information is shared

We use service providers to operate Opportunity Radar, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for website hosting, Cloudflare for abuse challenges when enabled, RB2B for website analytics and visitor identification, and an email-delivery provider for requested messages. They process information for us under their applicable agreements.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, protect safety and rights, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell Opportunity Radar account information.

Retention and security

We keep account and preference information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, document consent, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Suppression records may be kept to ensure we do not resume sending to an address that bounced, complained, or was manually suppressed.

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed for the information we hold. No internet service can promise absolute security, so protect access to your email account and tell us if you believe your account is being misused.

Your choices

  • Browse public opportunities and public market context without creating an account.
  • Change newsletter and job-alert preferences from your account controls.
  • Use an unsubscribe link in an eligible marketing or alert email.
  • Ask to access, correct, or delete account information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Control browser storage using your browser settings, which may affect sign-in.

To make a privacy request, email jacob@futurestatecareers.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children, external sites, and changes

Opportunity Radar is a professional career service and is not directed to children under 16. Employer and other third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which you should review before sharing information.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how account information is used.
